My guess is hes never said that but youve twisted his words. I would hazard a guess that hes said something along the lines of 'early season form is not as important as end of season form'. He has stated time and time again that the start of the season is more about grinding out wins and picking up as many points as you can ready for your end of season charge into the play offs. I agree with him, what is the point of peaking at the start of the season and fading when play off time comes around.

If Brian Noble ever stated that early season matches are not important then id be very very suprised.

That is much closer to what he actually said. Methinks Charlie is doing a little fishing again.

Coley should be dropped IMO but I'm unsure on Prescott's fitness. I'm not convinced he's 100% he had some back problem a while back IIRC?

Other than that I'm quite happy TBH

I don't understand all the knocking of Coley. Go and look on the Super League website's stats for last season. You'll see he actually made more metres than Fielden and more tackles than Feka.

It's the number of errors, missed tackles and penalties that lets him down.

Even Rogues is becoming negative.

You need to peak twice in the season. In between you ned to be playing well enough to be able to gain points and build up a contingency (sound a bit like Noble using such words) however, BN does not care about the start of a season

Worryingly he believes Wigan were too elaborate

St Pats U8's are more elaborate than Noble's Wigan

To Mr Noble, do the decent thing and walk away  EXIT

Still think Sam Tomkins should be playing instead of the shambles that is Tim Smith. Hansen should start considering he got the most tackles in SL last year and is one of the best defensive players in the league.

seems to me that Noble won't play Sam Tomkins because everyone on here wants him too .... perhaps we should start a raft of threads pleading with Noble NOT to play him and then he might get into the 17 ...

or not ...

exactly......change half your team when you replace one player.....good work nobby.

On the positive side we'll get thumped again and then the writing will really be on the wall for our inspirational, tactical coach!

You can make more tackles then a fella who struggles to be on the pitch for half the game. He has to make more metres with all the penalties and knock ons he does..it doesn't show how many sodding metres he's just handed to the opposition, i bet it would be enough to negate his lead on Fielden's metre gains.

Suppose that's possible. I still don't reckon he's much worse than Fielden though. But on the other hand... Prescott or O'Carroll would be preferable.

Also the whole Sam Tomkins argument. He surely should be playing in games like Wakey and Cas but I suppose Hull is a game more experienced players should be in, however, I think that if Nobby moved Tommy to Hooker, Smith to Scrum Half not stand off (he's not a stand off) and then dropped Tomkins in to Stand off for maybe the Cas game I'm sure we'll see a marked improvement.

I don't doubt someone has already said this. Ha...
