As a club what would our options be? obviously it maybe a case that another manufacturer buys the business, If not and the business was wound down would we look a deal that covers off field gear until the new season. Many potential problems here for us but maybe some opportunities aswell.

luckily we'll have shifted the majority of shirts we are going to sell by now, and will have a lot of stock in the stores. It could affect the summer merchandise if they go bust, but we could be in a worse position.

people have to remember its the profit that matters to the club though, and most sports sides that have 'nike' kits are either buying them off the shelf like the local pub team does or are getting them made by someone else and leasing the nike brand...it doesn't necessarily mean Hull would make more money that way.

also whilst people slag ISC off on here, every season our kits and merchandise have been on time and seemingly delivered without many problems. People used to always want Kooga kits on here and look what a farce they've been this season.

in the case of Nike there doing Catalan shirts at the moment so they know there fanbase not huge!! so Hull would be good next target as were probaly in top three of merchandise buyers!! if they want more rugby league clubs that is!!

chances are Catalan are buying them from someone else and paying to stick the Nike brand on, or are buying a generic Nike design (like Widnes did last season)

its tougher to get the actual Nike brand and factory to produce them, though i'd love to see a Nike FC shirt.

I'd like to see Canterbury on board with us, seem to have generally nice designs and don't think I've heard of them having any problems with distribution or production like KooGa have of late.

it would be great to see a FC Nike shirt as you very much doubt it!! Canterbury more likely and best option!!

There is also Reebok aswell. They do Melbourne, Manly shirts and I would imagine that they do other NRL clubs also. Not sure if they would consider SL clubs though.

I would imagine that the board will go with who puts the best offer on the table etc. The designs of the shirts will be the last thing they think about imo. But then again they've got to be good otherwise they wont sell.

Still can't see them doing Hull though.

One thing that has always made me wonder is how come England (football) stick with Umbro?
