Lee Gilmour and Jason Cayless trained on Monday and Potter reckons both have a good chance of playing.
Francis Meli has not arrived in the country yet and a decision on his replacement is still to be made.
“We’re still debating that,” Mick says, “and I will talk to the senior players to see which way we will go from there.
“But both Tom Armstrong and Jamie Foster can play. They have done well in pre-season and have acquitted themselves well. If they get the nod they will not be out of their depth.
“It’s likely I will call up Andrew Dixon and Matty Ashurst too into the 19-man squad. Tony Puletua will start.”

Foster/Armstrong partnership, go for it Mick.
Also id expect TP to perhaps start at prop and have Clough as SR.
Vinnie Anderson out again, has he played in any Saints v Wire games since he left us?
Louis Anderson out for them is a big help as he is one of their best players i think.

If Foster and Armstrong started as the Centre/Wing partnership I'd expect either Gilmour or Puletua to be on that side as the Second Rower as they can handle possible increased defensive duties. Gilmour has been a top tackler at Saints since Joynty left and I think Im right in saying Puletua was often Penrith's top tackler? It would make sense anyway?

Would that not be a massive gamble?
I heard a lot of the "Foster needs to bulk" up comments and took them with a pinch of salt given that this is half the problem in why we are not producing quality backs, but with Foster it really is a good point.
To pair him up with another youngster would be asking for trouble in my opinion, even as solid as Armstrong looks
