Mathers has been given 2 matches for his trip against Wakey and will miss our game. Is this good news or bad news? Most of the Wigan fans on their forum seem to think it's it good news for them, no one seems to have a good word to say about him.
For me it could be good for us. The chances are Richards will move to full back and a young in experienced player will come in on the wing, or Pryce if fit will play and he has been injured for ever.

THE INDEPENDANT: Today the east, which contains the biggest council estate in Europe, is poor, a place of high unemployment and low expectation. The west, which has the city centre and the university, is posh and prosperous.

They will move Richards to F/B and may move Ohelps to wing and bring Goulding in...ifthey do that i would go with Hall in the centres against Goulding

I expect Pat Richards will be put at fullback for us on Friday night. Amos played his first game in a while on Sunday so I don't think Nobby would risk him when Richards would be a more sure choice.
As for Mathers, as sorry as I feel for him with the bagging he gets from the fans, the simple truth is at the moment he is nowhere near good enough to warrant a place in the team.

Always been over-rated and is a niggly little cheap shot merchant

Since he nearly removed Motu Tony's head with his knee in the Challenge cup final against Leeds I would never want him to play against my team again.
Oh and apart from that I think he is garbage as well.
