O'Loughlin with 3. Only two players - Mathers and kick-mad Smith - made less average metres per carry according to the official stats. His offensive game was poor. All players can be assessed, you know. There are no exceptions, even Andy Farrell's brother-in-law, and I don't see why he should go under the radar. Having said all that, I concede that it was his first starting appearance since May and that he'll take time to get back into it at this level. Again, it comes down to team selection. Did Joel Tomkins really deserve to be on the bench after the way he finished last season ? I think not.
We should put lockers at 6, tomkins at 13 and smith on the bench.
also i thought amos played better at fb, so maybe we should put him at 1, phelps at 2 goulding at 3 etc....

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
With our current squad, we have only one possible option to do anything, or go anywhere this season:
Smith at 6, Tommy at 7 and Sam on the bench.
Neither Tim or Tom will ever make a top 6, they both get a nosebleed when they go within 15 metres of the touchline.

Correct. Unless @ some point we try Phelps at 6, he played their for Aussie schoolboys and Bulldogs fans deem it to be his best position.
*awaits the usual Phelps bashing without considered thought*

u think he's playing badly at the minute then ?
i thought he was back to his best (if not even better), did a lot of good things in attack, made some good tackles. granted he had a couple errors, but when involved in the play so much, its only natural that your error count will be higher then some team mates. (you won't find many games where a ball playing fullback, stand off, scrum half or hooker will have a perfect, no error game)
