Just one question – where are we going to get all the ‘corporates’ to fill these facilities – from what I understand there isn’t enough to fill the Lewis Jones Suit as it is.

The uni uses it for it's partners as opposed to local businesses, perhaps these others could come from these.

Now, I wasn't there on Friday, so couldn't really comment, but I can see an obvious flaw with your experimental data here.........

The Crusaders fans in the Carnegie stand sounded louder, from your seat.... in the Carnegie stand. Can you think of any possible reasons for this beyond the actual volume of the 2 sets of supporters?

I thought thats what you meant. I will let you off because you did state you were not there. But you could have read the reports last week, and the instruction put out on the Leeds board, or indeed the thread here last week.

The Western Terrace was shut, and away fans could go in the south stand or Carnegie stand. Quite a few were in the Carnegie.

I know this. I was pointing out that the Crusaders fans might have seemed louder because they were stood ten yards away under your seated position, whereas the South Stand is a little further away.

It was a throw-away quip, however, so I think it would be best to lay it to rest now. :(

There's no doubt that the atmosphere in the SS has wained since we became good. In 2003/2004 time it was much louder than it is now. The only games it's ever loud for these days are Saints, Wigan and Bradford. The rest of the time all our fans just expect us to win, moan when we're not and clap along when we score. That doesn't mean to say that seating is the answer though. The Wigan fans have been louder than us for a few seasons now.

Temptation, greets you like your naughty mate,
The one that used to get you in bother,
But one that you could never bring yourself to hate.

Thats a completely unprovable statement without having testing equipment at a selection of both Leeds and Wigan games and then accurately measuring the volume.

Even then, its hardly accurate as the accoustics of both venues differ so much.

However, if we are to believe your statement some may say that when a team is struggling the fans do more to get behind them, as opposed to when a team is winning and the fans dont really need to. Perhaps that is what has happened at Wigan?
