Harry Jepson - Rugby League to the core.
Even in his late 80s walking to Oulton from his home in Rothwell to watch grass roots rugby.
He continues to contribute interesting, erudite articles to the matchday programme.
I was in the Carnegie Stand and I heard the announcemt that he was celebrating his 89th birthday.
I did not sing, I don't think those around me would thank me for inflicting that on them. I did, however, applaud.

I think if you are going to look at other stands and what would work for Leeds, you need to consider things like access for getting in and getting away from the stand, number of toilets, proximities of bars and food establishments etc.

Thats why we're champions, thats why we're champions!!!!! Back to back to back!!!!

Valid point. I mean at alot of these new lardy da stands, you can't even get a burger. I mean what the hell is going on? It's all pastry and tinned hot-dogs. New Stand = No Burgers = Unhappy BB.

OK

getting in and away = quick
number of toilets = a few
proximities of bars = close
food establishments = enough

Enough talk.Get the thing demolished and build a new one.All standing with some boxes at the back. We'll still be debating this in 10 years time IMO

Fletcher: Course, he sees 'imself as an authority on curry, he does, on account of where he was stationed in the army.
Rudge: Where? India?
Fletcher: No, Bradford.

I was situated closer to the Wakefield supporters end of the ground and i have to admit you made more noise yesterday than the whole of the south stand did on friday. However, I think given the noise you were making, you may have failed to hear the Wigan fans! A superb victory for your team and I hope that your supporters continue to support your team the way they did yesterday.

Although, I suspect that in France there maybe only the 10 or so that made it over last easter!

So we now have excellent corporate facilities in the Carnegie Stand, when the North Stand gets redeveloped it will no doubt also have corporate facilities and there is a call for corporate facilities for the ‘new’ South Stand.

Just one question – where are we going to get all the ‘corporates’ to fill these facilities – from what I understand there isn’t enough to fill the Lewis Jones Suit as it is.
