As somebody who has contributed to the Mathers bagging after today, I look at a few posts and think they are fully justified but feel slightly sorry for Mathers...At the end of the day, he doesn't select himself. Alot of flack needs to go towards Brian Noble for selecting him. I'm actually very pro-Noble but completely disagree with his fullback selection.

It said it all in the second half when the crowd spontaneously cheered when he caught the ball.

More fool you. How can you be pro of someone whos not changed his tactics in his professional coaching career?

Brian Noble should carry a RFL health warning

Playing under this coach can seriously damage your career

I agree.

It does no good hounding a particular player, apart from ease the frustration of the poster.

That's not a good enough reason as far as I'm concerned.

Must admit I did feel sorry for him today when it was announced over the tannoy that he was returning from the bin, to a big load of boo's

basically meaning fans would rather us play with 12 men than have him in the team

I thought the booing was for something else that was happening during the game at that time, even so he must have thought it was for him.

The ironic cheers when he did cach a couple of balls must have been awful for him. However, I struggle to find anything good about his game other than his cheerleading enthusiasm.
