We all know that by 8pm tonight there will be lots of threads moaning about eddie and stevo and the sky coverage, so why don't we have one thread for the entire season dedicated to the tv coverage.

Nah same dire set, same dire programme.

Maybe the end is nigh for Setanta's NRL coverage. Just been announced they've lost at least half the premier league games they hold to Sky from 2010. Can't see them surviving that.

Good. The sooner this "competition means more choice" myth is kicked into touch the better.

Why? Without Setanta I can't watch GAA, the great programming on ESPN and live NHL, The Footy Show, James Richardson's excellent Football Matters. I wouldn't like to lose all that.

They are just cheap versions of Sky Sports programmes.

Wouldn't say that about Football Matters - it's the kind of discussion programme Sky used to do, but don't seem to anymore.

Just imagine Sky and Super League without Eddie and Stevo, it really wouldn't be the same with 'stanzas' and 'merry whistleblowers' and everyone thinking Eddie supports whichever team your deadly rival is because no-one can have an opinion against your own team.....
