URGENT REQUEST



If anyone has spare time tomorrow can you help shovel snow from the pitch.



Please bring a snow shovel (spades are not allowed) and for those keen gardeners a wheelbarrow would speed things up.

The pitch is covered (by proper covers as well as snow) and so it should remain until Saturday Morning at the earliest. What's the point of clearing it now, when there may be more on the way on Friday

The Stoop has just been on Sky sport news. Still covered in snow.

Pitch inspection Sat morning it says.

Heineken cup semi-final v Munster (expected gate 12,500)to be played Sunday 8th of Feb....= Pitch cleared and free of snow already (I would guess)
SL Round to be played v Bradford (expected gate 4,000) Sun Feb 8th or Feb.....= game off.....

FFS.....The pitch itself has been under covers since Saturday/Sunday. Why, when the ground staff had SFA to do over the last 3 days has nothing been done to clear the snow off the covers?
Second class citizens/tennants is what we are. Do they want £0 income from their stadium during the summer?

Allegedly . But if this is called of because no ones done their job then will think said allegded GS have only one side of the club at heart.

I was in the club this morning helping out and believe me there are plenty RU staff, ground workers and fans clearing snow. There is loads of it and to leave till last minute would mean neither game would go ahead. RU people are working their butts off and asking for help from RL. It's not a wind up just a genuine plea for help. If they left it all until Saturday then my guess is both games would have to be cancelled. They are covering the pitch as they clear the snow. Guess that means once it is cleared underneath the covers it should be relatively simple to remove further snow by pulling it off at the same time as you pull the covers off. But I am not a groundsman so maybe I am over simplifying things. But the club need help.
