In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

Heath Miller first TD @ 12/1
Gary Russell first TD @ 25/1
Urban first TD @ 25/1
Steelers D to score a TD @ 4/1
Harrison MVP @ 33/1
Warner MVP @ 4/1

looking forward to it now...may the best team win!!

Woooooo...get in there me!!! 8)

I thought it was a good game with an outstanding 4th quarter...not enough rushing in it for it to be a proper classic but the fact it was so close and the fact the lead changed hands so many times near the end means it will go down as one of the most exciting SB's....thought the Aussie punter was rubbish too!!!

Here's my betting slip - not a bad evenings work!

Would have even better had the Cardinals held on as I put some money on them at half time, having seen them successfully move the ball - fortunately when they went behind and the Steelers went to 2:1 I lay some of that money on the Steelers so didn't lose out!

On the game I thought Arizona got a bit of a raw deal from the officials. Both the roughing the passer and the pass interferences penalties in the 2nd half were very harsh. Having said that they gave away some stupid penalties as well! How did that incomplete pass get called a fumble on the field - not the last play, the one that was overturned?

Well done Steelers - I don't think anyone can say they didn't deserve it.

Just watched it Damo, dancing around the living room to 10th Avenue Freeze Out, just can't wait to see him this year. Why can't he come and do half time at the KC Stadium?

Arizona were on the receiving end of some poor decisions, the roughing the passer and running into the holder penalties spring to mind, but even after Fitzgerald had scored at the end Pittsburgh were always likely to score again. After the first quarter I was thinking that it was going to be a blowout given how easily Pittsburgh were making big yardage gains.
