The responses i do make are in my view polite enough, reasoned and in the way of fair comment or fair reply. I therefore do object to being tarred with the same brush as ME as I don't see what is wrong with putting forward a reasoned reply, which is always my aim.
However, this isn't the first time I've been criticised by a mod for similar. Asim has previously criticised me and others for responses made to trolls (even objecting to using the word). Asim himself posts pretty much doom and cynicism, and of course he is fully entitled to do so but am struggling to understand why I am being included in criticism.
If there is error in my ways that I can't see, then perhaps I need to take stock, and join those others who no longer post. It is not at all my intention to drive anybody away from the boards so if - as it seems - my presence here is viewed as doing that, I'll make myself scarce.

Sam, your Verdun analogy would be valid if ME and FA were corralling helpless young RABers to post for them. As it is, it's more like Von Falkenhayn and Petain themselves having a dust up. If they're happy to go at it, why stop them?
What this thread probaly needs is a trawl back through it so the same old arguments do not get repeated but can be quickly linked back to, e.g. 'We only sign players from mid to lower table clubs'.
