At least Von Falkenhayn got removed so he couldn't carry on. Can't either of your partners drag you off the PC? Millions of brain cells are at risk if you carry on!
The way I see it, ME posts claims and POVs which should be challenged; this is a Bulls forum and so in general I'd expect people to be broadly speaking supportive of the Bulls, and not nihilist, nor (as in the case of ME's anti-McNamara obsession) so damned persistent. Even today he's had a couple of gratuitous digs at Mac in other threads. But maybe that's fine. Whatever, I've ignored those.
The responses i do make are in my view polite enough, reasoned and in the way of fair comment or fair reply. My view is that ME rarely responds however, and so the points I make are usually unopposed save as to glib one liners, or else frequently complete misrepresentations of what I or someone else has stated.
I therefore do object to being tarred with the same brush as ME as I don't see what is wrong with putting forward a reasoned reply, which is always my aim.
However, this isn't the first time I've been criticised by a mod for similar. Asim has previously criticised me and others for responses made to trolls (even objecting to using the word). Asim himself posts pretty much doom and cynicism, and of course he is fully entitled to do so but am struggling to understand why I am being included in criticism.
If there is error in my ways that I can't see, then perhaps I need to take stock, and join those others who no longer post. It is not at all my intention to drive anybody away from the boards so if - as it seems - my presence here is viewed as doing that, I'll make myself scarce.
Enjoy yourselves, and to the Bulls
supporters, the best of British.
Au revoir.
