Depor were going nicely until Juan Rodriguez passed the ball to Xavi for the first goal. I know Barcelona are brilliant but as an opponent you simply cannot let yourself be so lax and sloppy - it will cost you dearly, more so than any other team. I thought Depor were alright but am baffled as to why Cristian started over the infinitely superior Lafita. Lotina seemed to be in damage-limitation mode before a ball had been kicked. Bodipo looked isolated all game. Fantastic appearance off the bench from Iniesta, also thought Abidal and Henry were superb.

Sevilla made very heavy weather of beating Numancia - who only have themselves to blame. Barkero and Brit missing good chances. Renato best player on the park by a mile. Diego Capel looked decent in the small patches of play when he wasn't throwing himself to the turf like a pansy. Pillock.
