Yorkshire Forward seem desperate to throw money around at the moment. I think the government are pressing funding agencies to try & stimulate the economy & bring funding forward. Not sure whether OSV would attract anything.

It would certainly create short term (2-3 year) building jobs and I'd imagine a fair few longer term sport and leisure type jobs.

I csuppose you could put a totally unnecessary runway parallel with the 606, the Government would throw money at that.

Any firm idea of when the schematic plans will be released?

there was talk at forum about a big press release being prepared. So I'd expect to see something this week tbh. suspect bird signing pushed press release back

Its all gone quiet again. Hood & the council guy said at the fans forum that a significant announcement was due within days - well its been 17 days since the forum!!

It's not in our control though is it? The council tell the club it will be soon and they can only take their word on that.

theres a 12 page bulls supplement in wednesdays t&a. Including a message to the fans from the chairman. Wonder if this is related to the ground? surely it will at least state the current position.

The other night I dreamt I went to the OSV's opening game and all they'd done is built a weird lattice-like roof over the popular side. Pre-match entertainment was singing by Old Gregg from the Mighty Boosh and John Harkes, formerly of Sheffield Wednesday. Harkes was singing 'Odsal is Dry', to the tune of 'Scotland is Dry'. Don't worry if you've never heard of it because it doesn't exist.
