I'm actually sure no body did put there name on a shirt. The Pirtek logo appeared on a mock-up of this years shirt late last year with the text above it stating that the logo was only on as a mock-up. I'll find the thread.

Haha was sat infront of me it was definitely bill but i also laughed childishly. Anyone else get p*ssed off with the mouthy woman too near front?
"Games as big as a grand finals define individuals and clubs. Remember we are only renting these shirts, I had my time in Pat Richards shirt. Ellery and Faz had there time in Sean's, Hampo and Radders in Sam's. You have to make a mark in these shirts that's still there the day you hand it over to someone else. So be aware for 80 minutes you are not only playing but also writing history and creating a legacy. How many people get to actually write history, not many. A big stage demands big players, be inspired. You play for Wigan, now go do it. Good luck." - Martin Offiah, 2010.

These too will need replacing and if there's no investment in big name players mid table is where we'll be heading. I still can't comprehend the whole cash flow situation at the club, there's something seriously amiss if we can't match the spending power of St Helens!
That's the point. Something was amiss and they're working to sort it out.
However, it is Tomkins and sorry but I disagree with Noble's argument and would have spoken up about it. I actually found his comments interesting and would have enjoyed Noble being the full evening to discuss the team.
I disagree because A) The young men are ready because if they are not we must be doing something wrong given youngsters are fine at Castleford, at St Helens, at Leeds etc etc, in the NRL and B) They are not selected on merit. Sam should have been given games from the bench after Whitehaven. Mathers was never selected on merit. Joel Tomkins was hailed as an example but he was not selected because he was ready. He was selecyed because Lockers got injured and Noble had no choice.

new it was you.. i was sat next to you at the first fans forum!!!
to the bit in bold absolutly!! had a chat with noble after the forum had some interesting things say about j tomkins/lockers
I cannot recall sorry. The one at the Deanery?
I actually enjoyed listening to Noble far more than anybody else there. He needs a forum just for playing issues. I just cannot accept him using Joel as an example of planning. Joel did not suffer when he came in under Millward. He even had offloading skills then. In the Alliance pre his Widnes loan, Joel was in awesome form. It was partly interrupted by injury when he broke a bone in his hand defending himself from Matty Smith but he was ignored when he was in great form. He lost motivation. Noble publicly stated that he did not expect Joel to play in 2008 and if Lockers had not been injured he would not have played. The reason he got better and better was that he got a run of games to adjust to the pace of SL.
Will Lee Mossop play in 2009? No. He will go out on loan. Lee was dropped in favour of Tuson in 2008 and the reason, he played too much like a prop in his previous SL game.
I fully hope you enjoy the Championship. Feel free to ask for details of any venues
Don't know why people thought any different about the Stadium usage to be honest. DW owns the stadium so he gets to dictate what is what. It's common sense really.

I hope this policy works for us i dearly do, but i think sometimes you have to grasp the nettle when real quality comes on the market.
Regards 2010, i may be wrong but was 2009 not stated at the last forum as the year we could expect us to be in for some big names and the year on which the club should be judged?
I think its become clear now if it hasn't been for a while that Lenagan was wrong to make that comment.
I was always expecting 2010 to be the earliest when we could expect to be
challenging Leeds and Saints again as this is when we can really do something with the squad.
I still can't help asking the question though of where's all the money gone for 09? Barrett, Calderwood, Higham and Colbon gone. All gone on Riddell and Roberts?

I'm not having that excuse about the sponsor pulling the plug becaue they saw the mock-ups on here.
Let's be honest, how many people will have read that thread - a tiny minority compared to the numbers of people/fans who haven't read it.
Personally I think that's a cover up. Why would a business complain about that?
IT IS FREE ADVERTISING FFS!!! Creating more awareness for their business.
God help us.
If the sponsor hasn't been tied up yet, it will be months before we will get new shirts with a sponsors logo (assuming we actually get a sponsor). All KooGa gear is produced in the Far East and the lead times will be at least 8 weeks.
