Mate of mine is giving me a nudge for Desert Strike in the 2.10 at Great Leighs, I've inly had a quick look, think it's 10/11 right now, so not great. I was thinking of having a little lump like, just wanted an opinion or two.

Risk ? Better horse in the races, better weighted etc ? See anything better than this ?

Won last time out at Great Leighs overcoming a wide draw. Goes out of stall 1 today so this is a positive (middle-inside draws handy at GL over 5f). Up 4lbs since that win and finished 4th in his handicap debut off the same mark as today. That was over 6 furlongs though in a Class 4. Back to Class 5 and course and distance winner at GL of course. Jamie Spencer booked for the ride who has been in decent form lately. Should win tbh.

Couldn't disagree with any of the above and if I was having a bet in that race it would be that horse. It's the clear pick on form.

He'd be my bet too if I were to have a bet in the race. Solid form, ideal conditions etc. Would question his defeat last time out - up against some well handicapped horses but still beaten off his current mark.
