Barnsley bid £400K for Ward, but couldn't agree personal terms so the deal is off. Can't see him going to Bradford if that's the case.

Never even a possibilty. Just our deluded fans that think we should be in the bidding.

There are strong rumours that we are in for Andy Bishop but I can't see that either, I'm sure he could do better than League 2 and won't come cheap anyway.
The Bishop rumours are a bit more feasible, but I still can't quite see it. Nobody seems to have a clue if his contract expires in the summer or not. But we do need a striker in the Bishop/Ward mould IMO (i.e. a nuisance with a bit of pace!) but finding an affordable one is a tricky business.

We may have to do what Chesterfield and Bury did and actually have a look at a lower division and find someone with potential who may be available for cheap. The problem with this is that the scouting needs to be good and which would take longer than we have in the Januray window. perhaps we'd be best looking for a loan stiker from a championship club until the end of the season.

In fairness, Bradford is a major sprawling metropolis within an important Conurbation and are competing against tiny old mill towns like Bury and Rochdale. They should be by and large well above most other crowds in League 2

We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die The first ones in line for that pie-in-the-sky And we're always the last when the cream is shared out For the worker is working when the fat cat's about

Well, we are - more than double the second best supported team the last time I checked
Seriously though I am surprised at just how many we have sold already, given the current economic climate, and the fact that we barely sold 1,000 when we put this seasons on sale last December I think it's a pretty good effort, dirt cheap or not.
