I take it you've got a save game from before the point where it crashes?

Go into preferences, and turn the sounds off. Play the match again and see if it still comes up with the same error. If the match completes successfully, save your game and turn the sounds back on then see if it comes up again in the next match.

Just lost in the play-off semis for the 2nd season in a row.
