Purchased the game last week........
After reading / hearing about people not able to install or having problems, I kinda eas expecting to encounter problems. Had million and one attempts at installing FM08 on my new laptop, wouldnt have any of it, thanks SADDENED for all your help I admitted defeat in the end
The FM09 installed no problems at all
I have not played a game with the 3D engine thing yet as it dosnt really bother me, and thats obviously one thing that will make majority of peoples laptops / pc's run slow.
Started season with Leeds, only have £100k availiable to spend, not doing too badly thus far. Cant see the board standing by me though, Im currently 2nd which dosnt appear to be good enough
Only signed couple of players (2 from Swedish league / 1 from Ireland) Im finding it quite realistic.
Beckford scores few goals but his actual rating is 6.10.
Becchio dosnt score as many but rating is 7.15.
Delph & Howson are class.
Prutton is bit hit & miss.
Robinson has bout on good game outta five.
Im playing
4 4 2 diamond
4 flat defenders
1 defensive midfielder
2 wing / outta midfielders
1 attacking midfielder
2 strikers
Maybe Leeds isnt the best team to start off with, but I dont see the point in going to Arsenal / Man U / Chelsea or other top clubs. Im not finding it too different to FM08, fully intend to start looking into training methods & sorting out scouting trips soon.
Anyone else started non premiership ?
It runs fine on computers that meet the minimum specs
