My point was that, despite your assertion that the 'top four' are virtually nailed on, they haven't actually finished in those positions for a (relatively) long time, suggesting those positions aren't quite as easy to predict as you assume. I made no mention of the strength of the competition, the strength of the international team or the strength of anything else, apart from your particularly weak argument.
take away the SC deductions and they finished top 4 in 2007, and three of those four have finished top 4 in every season of SL,
only 5 clubs have contested a grandfinal, and only four have contested more than 1, and those 4 have contested every single GF bar 2006, when the other club, Hull made their one and only GF
its a pretty damning indictment of how competitive SL is
