as an aside, if this article about the impending demise of Leigh RMI/Genesis football club is anything to go by, the Leythers may yet be in for some fun and games with their own stadium..

Without a doubt , the argueing over the finishing off has probably cost RMI/Genisis the only chance they had of moving in and potentially building a decent support base

Will it compound on the Centurions ? , quite possibly

What is more worrying is the lack of any further development on the site , development that was to help pay for the running of the site

This is one of the reasons we have been pointing out to yourselves that were making your stadium unlikely before the demise of RCD

All the best with any future plans , I hope they come to fruition sooner rather than later

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Sorry state of affairs. Could we be seeing the new New Shay?

Wonder if the game on the 28th would be shelved or switched if they've not sorted it out.

If health and safety are involved then anything could happen.
They will have risk assessments, method statements, emergency exit policies, catering safety requirements you name it they will have something to cover it.
H and S the best excuse any one can now use.

Yup I'd agree I'd rather have a stadium we don't own and may never play in  Oh hang on.....
