[quote="Teddington Red"]I am sure he has a full diary.
So do I.
Forget the Forever Reds meeting, all he needs to do is to talk to the Advertiser or,in some way communicate.
The prospect of a Forever Reds meeting, when his diary permits,is a sop.
Too little,too late.[/quote

MOST fans would rather get the questions answered from John in person rather than some "EDITED" comments from any newspapers .
Think everybody knows what you say & what gets printed in newspapers is often very misguided & sometimes very removed from what was actually said in the interview.
Has it not occurred that what was printed in the Advertiser a couple of weeks ago may have not been what was actually quoted to them??????
Maybe the editor of the asaid paper is a fan of another club /doesn't like Salford or many other reasons & decided to run the story to put our club in a bad light???????

As I have said, John will come down to answer questions .a.s.a.p so you will just have to wait.

John has always been honest and open, BUT like many fans I feel let down at the moment by the lack of real trustworthy news from the club. We have an Official web site which could be used.

As for Forever Reds, John and the trust have established a great relationship and hope this continues, if you can't attend Shirl/Billysmum always asks for questions and does a detailed write up after so it shouldn't be a problem.

Exactly!

The truths better than the lies, just let us all know whats going on now! If there's no stadium to be had so be it I don't really care just spill the beans for the sake of clarity please!

this will not be the end, or even the beginning of the end.
It is merely the end of the beginning

Maybe there is a lack of official news because there is a chance the stadium may fall through completely and the club are working to prevent this. There is no point announcing that and recieving a backlash (from Widnes and Leigh especially) until there is no chance it is going to be built.

Thats the worst case scenario anyway.

Look, we all accept John has done a fantastic job, and that his honesty at Forever Reds is to be commended.
The consensus, though,is that there should be something on the Clubs website.
That would overcome BBM doubts about the Advertisers alleged 'spin'.
Do we really feel they are bad guys simply because they have said something the Club doesn't like.
As Ferder said at the start,I think, nothing in that article has been shown to be wrong or even challenged!

It depends on what info you want. Remember, the official website is the official receptacle for the club's communiques; official being the operative word. Let’s say, for example, the Chairman issues an open letter to the supporters on the website. What’s it going to say? Probably that the club are extremely confident Peel will deliver a world class stadium. If that’s what you want to hear, then you’ve got nothing to worry about.

Will such a letter include information about whether the new stadium will generate enough money for Salford to be a Super League force? Will it include information about whether a standing terrace will be included in the design? Will it include any other information not already brought to attention by the fans? Maybe. Maybe not. This is the benefit of being able to get people such as John Wilkinson down to a Forever Reds meeting — an open forum. Your questions get asked, and you find out whether you get the answers.
