I can't see how this can be seen as a bad signing. He isn't a superstar but he's still a decent player and will give us cover in the halfs. I like how our squad is shaping up for next year. We are one or two signings away from having a really good and balanced side imo.

And in mine
Craig Bellamy: "We're not boxers, we're footy players, and we've got to keep reminding ourselves of that. We're not too worried about getting bashed, believe me. We've got Michael Crocker."
He is here to cover the halfback positions, and I can't see him getting in the team when Tony, Horne and Dykes are fit. And with Horne out for basically the whole of last season, Dykes in and out the team and Tony having a couple of injuries, its good to see a proven SL player come in as cover (btw not saying that Thorman would play FB, but saying if Tony was out he would go to 6 with Horne at 1 imo). All our signings for next season add something:
Crocker: well, tons of things!
Calderwood: pace, good defence, effort, knows where the try line is
Maloney: hunger, wants to prove himself
Thorman: good cover, will do a good job filling in
It's not the best recruitment in the world, but its a lot better than some and at least the side is been improved in areas where we need it. We need a prop and a centre now and its job done

People may doubt what you say, but they will always believe what you do.
Good signing imo. Not exactly the most exciting player in the world, but if the rumours are true about Dykes walking out then bringing him in on a 1 year deal makes perfect sense to me. He'll do a job at halfback next season and if he plays well then he may even get a long term contract, however it looks to me as if he's just been brought in to cover at 6/7 for a year and then we'll bring in a top class scrum half in 2010.

Happy enough with this. Looks like Webbo's taxi has arrived.
Look forward to seeing him pull on the black and white. May give us some different options to the same old same old and will certainly add reasonable quality depth at half back and (emergency only) full back.

Since the announcement of him signing earlier on, i've heard a lot of criticsm! Which dissapoints me really.
Chris Thorman is a well drilled player, one i rate, we've just taken Huddersfields captain off them, he's a good organisational player which is what we need around the park he's also an excellent kicker.
I think with the players around him he could become a good signing. Prove me wrong. But i doubt it.
decent signing for me, i allways thought he was a dangerous player for the tiny.s against us...i understand some fans frustrations, but what are we doing here, slagging players before they have put a shirt on.like it or not,and some fans dont behind the saints we got to most finals since 2005.so someone somewhere must have a bit of a clue i guess.i say slag them before you see them, hang your head.we are supposed to be fans at the end of the day.
