Do the two finalists even get the gate money? It seems strange if they do, and I don't believe they do. They get prize money, not sure how much it is for runners-up, but there is no way they should gt the split of the gates. It is an RFL staged event, and like the play-offs the RFL should get the money and pay the prize money.

Yes, hull reported to have made 500K from the 2005 final, so I would guess it would be around that.

But is that from merchandise sales and prize money?
6k extra shirt sales would bring in £300k, and I wouldn't be surprised if the prize money for runner up is around £200k, so is it from this as opposed to gate money?
