Oh well, here we go. Crawley away tomorrow - nice early start. Just lost our best player to Scunny and will be playing a 19-year old on-loan Polish lad in goal. Optimism drains away quite quickly doesn't it

I guess there's loads of teams in the Conf who could quite easily be in the Football League, such as York, Torquay, Oxford...

Aye, but Donny are and always have been a bigger club than us. We do well, we might get thick end of 4000 through the gate. Do badly and there'll be 2500. What I'm driving at is that success doesn't reflect itself in swollen gates down our way.
It's a bloody hard league to get out of and, while we play some nice football at times, we'll struggle against the bruisers, of which there are many in this league (Histon, Crawley and many others). Think it'll be a case of nearly but not quite again. Torquay are my tips to go up this year.
