At least I wont have to sweat over Grimsby then.

Yep, goal head start for them on Saturday now.
Looking forward to the new season, I don't see us walking away with the league like some of our supporters seem to - I'd argue that our first XI is probably the strongest (on paper) in the league, but I do worry about the lack of depth in a few positions, and the age of our squad meaning injuries are likely and this squad depth may have to be tested.
I think Paul McLaren will be the key man, I can't think of a classier player in the division - if he finds form Peter Thorne could have a field day on the back of his service.

Discussing this with a mate of mine today, we agreed that we look perilously short in the full-back cover.
Luke O'Brien can cover LB, but is good enough or ready? And if Arnison plays poor or gets injured/suspended.. there is no cover there at all. Which also means no-one pushing him out of the side if he plays badly.
However, one pleasing thing is we have used no loan signings whatsoever for the first time in God knows how long. Which means later in the season they can be used more effectively perhaps, once we know where we are lacking when the season is in full swing.

Wouldn't be too surprised to see a loan signing for the RB slot very shortly. Possibly even before Saturday. Just a shame the trialists didn't work out.

Yep, agree with that.
In recent years we've needed loanees to complete the team, this year it will be to compliment or improve it, and that can only be a good thing.
Full-Back cover and a genuine left winger is what I'd like to see, I know Brandon and Daley can both do a job, but I'd be much happier with a natural left-footed player out there.
