yes we lost yesterday. but beat them last week

In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

Ashton 10 wrote:To be quite honest, I dont think England can ever comprehend hosting a tournament of the magnitude of the Football World Cup.

For starters, it would kick off at any oppurtunity. Second, we stuggled to build Wembley, with the costs spiralling out of control week on week. Third, I doubt England will ever be good enough to be actual contenders for the world crown.

Australia is by far the better option after the success of the Olympics IMO.

Well we didn't have much of a problem hosting Eurp 1996.

What's the issue about Wembley either? It's already built. We already have all of the stadiums required for the tournament and there are only one or two that will require expansion.

What's the issue about England not being good enough either? Are South Africa? Are Australia?

You were beaten amidst mass scenes of whinging, whining and bleating about how unfair it all was.

I thought that was the only Aussie way of losing ever known.

Dont even think that tbh:

Wembley
Old Trafford
Emirates
St James Park
Liverpools new ground
COM
Stadium of Light
Evertons new ground

Suppose we could even try and get Wales to let us borrow the Millenium Stadium, or maybe even use Twickenham

It's a little bit more complicated than that.

You are only allowed one city to have two host venues. London will probably have Wembley and The Emirates which would probably rule out the City of Manchester Stadium.

That said, it'd be interesting if Everton do end up moving to Kirkby.

CoM and OT in different cities? Not wanting to open up the age old debate, but it could prove useful in this case.
