It's not my money I don't care. I mean oh my god we had to let Henry Fa'afili go to fit King under the cap!

All I care about is that I would rather have King than Carmont and I would guess that most sensible Wigan fans would too. After all Wigan were in for him first.

Now The Wire.

Typical pie-eaters, never seeing the big picture.

Gidley (Missed tackles - 1)
Carmont (Missed tackles - 10)
King Piemon, you are so right as always

I agree. He is rubbish.

Instead of signing King, Monaghan, Hicks & Anderson I am so jealous Wigan signed Coley, Carmont, the Invisible Man & Mathers. Why can't we sign players of that calibre?

But then again, as Maurice said, we're not Wigan are we?
And you never will be !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's amazing how people can give such a detailed view of somebody that they've only seen play on SKY so far, in these games he has scored 2 tries in just over 170 minutes of action.

I have said since day one in my opinion King is overrated. When the discussion was going on preseason I stated then I felt Matt Cooper is the better centre and after that I feel Gasnier, Bell and Hodges are even better.
Having said that I think any centre playing on the left for us is on a downer to begin with. We still attack the right 7/10. On the other hand Gleeson has been fantastic up to now for us and having King on the other side certainly has spread the defences so to speak. Gives us that other option.

Is Carmont better than King? Never, is King overrated? I personally think so.

Put it this way, even Mr. Overspend himself, Maurice Lindsay, pulled back from the deal King wanted.

Do you know the reason why? I do.

Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

For a start I'm not a pie-eater. I'm from Yorkshire.

And how is just missed tackles the bigger picture? It's also well then to point out:

Matt Gidley

Meters 466
Carries 73
Tackles 101
Offloads 11

George Carmont

544 Meters
87 Carries
118 Tackles
13 Offloads

While we're at it:

Matt Gidley

Tackle Busts 7
Marker tackles 14
Clean Breaks 0

George Carmont

10 Tackle Busts
20 Marker tackles
6 Clean Breaks

That a big enough picture for ya?

We were however pulled out because he proved to expensive and we couldn't
fit him under the cap. So made the more sensible move to sign George Carmont who is on a lot less than Matt King and so far his stats are far better than King's.
