Mayweather is the only fighter to have beaten Hatton and he deserves a shot at revenge, ...
WHY?
This is a major bugbear of mine. A re-match should only be granted if a fight went to a close decision (Pac vs Marquez II) or there was a major element of controversy (Pac vs Marquez I).
Neither DLH nor Hatton (especially) deserve another shot at Floyd.
Hatton was given the mother of all hidings and KTFO.
And Floyd wouldn't take a re-match with Hatton out of some sense of noble obligation. No. Floyd takes Hatton (and DLH) on again because he knows they are the two biggest draws in boxing. Hatton has a big profile in the US after HBO's 24/7 series and it goes without saying that he's huge in the UK (one of the most lucrative PPV markets in the world). There isn't a fighter on the planet who can fill Wembley stadium within 48 hours and yes I include Pac.
It's all about the MONEY. Mayweather openly worships it and I guess you can't blame him for that.
