King Piemon, you are so right as always

I agree. He is rubbish.

Instead of signing King, Monaghan, Hicks & Anderson I am so jealous Wigan signed Coley, Carmont, the Invisible Man & Mathers. Why can't we sign players of that calibre?

But then again, as Maurice said, we're not Wigan are we?
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
He's missed 2 matches through injury so you're clearly wrong.

I think Wigan are $hite.

Why, do you think it's possible he's on less than Carmont?

Put it this way, even Mr. Overspend himself, Maurice Lindsay, pulled back from the deal King wanted.

King has had an interupted start to the season so far and has been up and down but he's shown enough glimpses from what i've seen to suggest he'll be as good a buy as what everyone expected him to be. It's said about alot of players but he will improve as the pitches improve especially if that comes on the back of an injury free run in the team.

As for Carmont he's been great for us so far and miles better then what we thought we were getting. I expected another Vaealiki just on far less money when in reality we've got a centre who has abit of everything and works his knackers off for far less money.

Top stuff.

Some interesting stats there.

Who would people say the most on form centre is in super league?

Arguably I'd have to say Matt Gidley tell me if you don't agree.

Compare the stats:

http://www.superleague.co.uk/statistics_player.php?hs1=2008&hp1=920&hs2=2008&hp2=2596&stat=tries&season=2008

Carmont has better statistics than Matt Gidley and that is a player who has played the exact number of games.

Jake Webster another centre in top form for Hull KR.

Carmont's statistics more than match his as well.

Carmont has certainly proved a great buy from the Wigan club.

You beat me to it and his stats against Kings are better* although anyone would be stupid to write King off, he's a quality act but been very unlucky with injuries so far. I'm sure once the pitches firm up then we'll see the true Matt King.

*My only concern so far of Jake Webster is his tackling at times but he's certainly made up for it with crucial tries.
