Its just that the first two years back at Odsal were better attended than 2002 and 2001 at VP unlike wht your stats initially implied.

I agree, I just wish the new home could be on the same patch of land as the old one. i.e. we had a huge amount of cash to bring Odsal up to modern spec whilst retaining the history and character......but we dont, so we cant, so its cr@p.

I think these are the records. They are not to bad.

Valley Parade

2001 13,000
2002 13,912

2003 14,939

And recently at Odsal

2004 13,495
2005 12,786
2006 11,406
2007 11,779

So after 1 year of being back at the dump that is Odsal, our crowds drop to below anything we had at Valley Parade and guess what, it will go down once again this year. They must be still annoyed at the stewarding and parking I guess.

Lets face it, Odsal is a dieing retched old place, that has lost all atmosphere. Folks are tired of the place, I definatley am. People dont want to come to an old bowl in the ground. Watch the game from distance, walk up 40 steps to get a drink, then another 40 to go to the loo. People dont want to stand on cold concrete and get mickey wet through everytime it rains.

Bradford Bulls need a new home.

I don't think you can undermine how bad the stewards were. I saw a saints fan, who did nothing get hit. I was sat with them at the time, and the club themselves were not happy with how it was stewarded
.
Crowds would get worse if we moved to VP, away fan numbers would get worse if we moved to VP. Odsal in its state is no longer viable - but we need to look at making it viable and we need the council to work with us. They are missing out on a huge chunk of money with London having won the Olympic bid it is stupid!

The stewards have now improved quite a bit at VP since those days, they are now tolerable.

High class facilities with track, swimming pool etc would lead to an ability to attract olympic teams. Who would pay to use those facilaties. It would also bring money in to the local economy etc. as friends and family would also be staying around with them. With bulls already having what they need at rawdon etc. it would only benefit everyone.

I think this supposed pot of gold from the Olympics is just that; supposed

There won't be many benefits to reap in our neck of the woods from the London Olympics.
