Couldn't get much worse for you.

I like Chorley. Cracking ground, fantastic clubhouse. Shame a few bellends decided to attach themselves to the club when we visited.

No FC board members or officials will be present at the match and they're calling for the fans to boycott it as well. This is one of the things we thought we'd left behind.

I'm trying not to laugh, but the irony is so rich I don't think I can stop myself.

Anyway, decent win - our first ever win in an FA Trophy game - yesterday. I'm hoping for Blyth Spartans in the next round. Home or away - not arsed. Just give us the mighty Spartans.

I'm rather looking forward to Farsley v Halifax on Boxing Day. Farsley's visit to Droylsden in the Shield was postponed... yet another game to rearrange!!

So neither club wants the game moved, yet FCUM officials are encouraging their supporters to hit CAFC in the pocket by not showing up? What a wonderfully miserable and unfriendly gesture towards another club.

I reckon we'll win on Saturday, hopefully get something tomorrow at home to Workington then build on it with a win against Bridge. Plus, we'll need the extra body more than Southport - Barrow will!

1) There's been plenty of suggestions as to how we can do something to make sure Curzon don't miss out. A friendly or a collection, that sort of thing.

2) Curzon aren't short of a bob or two anyway.

3) We're not a charity. We're not there as a cash cow to be milked at every opportunity. We don't have a morale obligation to turn up and pump cash into every club we meet.

4) We were formed with the intention of trying to change football for the better, to show that fans can have say in the running of the game. To get away from the sh*t that prevails at the top of the pyramid. Changing the kick off time of a game purely for commercial gain is one of those things, if we just say "oh, never mind, we'll accept this and go about our business as usual" then there's no point in the club existing. We might as well have just gone watching Altrincham or someone.

I do appreciate that we could well be banging our heads against a brick wall here, but it's what we're here for.

That's totally irrelevant.

No, but actively discouraging people from attending a live game, whether it's just a handful or several hundred, is pathetic. If this had been an FCUM home game I wonder whether the club would have taken the same course of action?

What's more I bet the whole episode will just increase the numbers of people watching the game online because of the extra publicity.

How high in the football pyramid is FCUM aiming to progress? Because if you get as far as the Conference, never mind the Football League, your games are increasingly going to be subject to live televising at unconventional times. And the higher up the pyramid you go the harder it's going to be to fight against this issue.
