Nobody mocked you for saying we'd get a centre, we mocked you for saying it as if you were breaking important news to us or something. About 200 people said we needed a centre and most of them knew we were going to get one before you broke the transfer news of the century to us

At the end of the day, he's been a starting centre in the NRL for 3 seasons. How many of the centres in last seasons SL would have done that?

It does bother me, this sort of thing.
One accusation that fans of other clubs regularly aim at Wigan fans is that we bag our own players too much. I'm sick of arguing about this, because - on the evidence of this thread - it's basically true. It's also highly embarrassing, though no more so than the 'Wigan standard' myth that so many arrogant fans still trot out whenever we sign someone who isn't an obvious world-beater.
I don't know what world some Wigan fans live in. They've been blasting Fielden all season, apparently oblivious to the fact that he's been injured AND doing the work of two men (the other being one of their darlings - the overrated Feka). And now they've decided this new guy is 2h1te, even though most of them have never seen him play.
Whatever happened to closing ranks or showing solidarity with our own? For Heaven's sake, if Carmont really does turn out to be crap, then have your day then. Until that day, give the poor guy a chance - he's wearing our colours and representing our side. At least respect him for that.
