hopefully. Just worry about getting players the wrong side of 25 might only be a short contract who knows we will see. sure the future will be even brighter come 2009 !

Not thrilled another steady player, i appreciate we have no money etc etc, not sure if it would have been better leaving it. Much depends on who else was available, the length of the contract, and who the last signing is i guess. Il reserve judgement till then.
I just think sometimes teams other than wigan sign relatively average players that turn out to be good yet we go for the "brand name" so to speak and get left with a hole in our pocket and nothing to show for it.
lets just see ey. I'm just excited we're building a squad for once.

Will allow Bailey up into the 2nd row full time.
One more signing to come by all accounts - if it is Terry Newton then I will be over the moon with close season recruitment
PLEASE don't let it be this Numbskull
Daniel Anderson, Paul Wellens, Keiron Cunningham, James MOS Roby, Johnny Vegas, Alex Murphy, Steve Ganson, Bernie Clifton, Jenny from Atomic Kitten, Ray French, Gary Stretch, Lord Pilkington, Sexy Linda from Foxy Ladies in Parr, Ricky Tomlinson, Phil `The Power` Taylor, Tom van Vollenhoven, Vinty Karalius, Kel Coslett, Mal Meninga, that coward who bottled that young Wigan fan,
YOUR BOYS TOOK ONE HELL OF A BEATING TONIGHT!!!!!

you say you worry about signing players over 25 but in the next breath say signing newton would be fantastic!! isnt he the same age as carmont or abit older?

Completely agree. If we have signed a player that nobody raves about then he will be under no pressure at Wigan to be anything other than a solid defender.
Anything else is a bonus, anything less is 'another Vaealiki' so no change then.
I know little about him to make a judgement...we shall see

I'd be surprised is that were the case. Goulding isn't ready for a full season in the centres and needs to carry on coming off the bench and Carmont is a mere 5 foot 10 and 14 and a bit stone.
Without Bailey in the centres we will be very light weight so for that reason I'd expect Bailey to get another centres shirt and only go into the 2nd row on a part time basis when Goulding comes on to give Hock or Hansen a rest.

Now that really would be a pointless signing given we have two hookers under contract the club already. If there is a third signing it needs to be a prop.
