Congleton 3 Runcorn 3 - talk about a game of 2 halves!!
We totally dominated the first period and were 2-0 up at half time. 2nd half, we conceeded a goal straight away and then the momentum was with Congleton as they raced to a 3-2 lead. Luckily we managed to salvage a draw, but it was definately 3points lost.
On to Trafford this Saturday but I wont be going as I'm off to Wembley

We had something similar with Congleton last season. I think it was 3-1 to us at HT and 4-2 with two minutes to go and they came up with two goals in a minute to earn a draw!

Looking forward to what should be a good game against Salford tomorrow night at Wincham Park. Will be a touch game for the Linnets but hopefully our recent bad luck in games will come to an end and we will actually get some reward for our efforts this season!!

Well in front of a good attendance of 209, Runcorn lost 1-0 at home to a very good Salford City side. The 1st half saw City have a goal disallowed and eventually take the lead on 21 minutes. We were outplayed in that period and half time came as a relief that we were only 1 down.
The 2nd half we did what we have done all season, attacked attacked and attacked. Once again it was to no avail and somehow we just couldn't put the ball in the net. There was no doubt some good Salford defending as well as our lack of finishing. They are the best team we've seen so far this season. They actually brought a fair amount of fans too which is sadly something lacking at NWC level.
Hopefully we can pick up a much needed 3points against Nelson on Sat!!

Which, indeed, they have - they impressed me in the summer against RMI although the Dolly Blues ballsed up at the weekend, losing in the Cup at Radcliffe.
Going to watch Bootle play soon, home game against Ashton Town tonight. Should really be picking up the 3 points at home and players should be up for it after saturday, won away to Leek CSOB 4-2. Took 2 goal lead into half time but let it slip with 2 goals conceeded in first 8 mins of second half but came through it ok.
