Runcorn kicked off their NWC2 campaign with a 2-2 draw away at Atherton Collieries, who finished 7th last time around. We played very well but unfortunately were down to 10 men for the last 15mins and Atherton snatched the draw in the 94th minute with a penalty :(

In tonight's big televised match, Torquay take on Grays Athletic.

IIRC, Setanta are going down the "Rugby League Raw" type route with the Conference coverage, which could be a bit more interesting than the spectacle on the field.

I must be bloody mad, but I'm off to Barrow in half an hour to hopefully see RMI chalk up their first win of the season, come on Leyth! :)

I could've told you that long ago, matey.

FCUM's first Unibond match takes place on Saturday, away to Lancaster City. Could be interesting.

Burton away tonight and afer a home defeat on the opening day, 3 points would already be very useful. Cracking away record last year. Match that this time around and we might have a chance

3-1 up against 10 men, less than 10 minutes to go. Cue in the rack, end up losing 4-3. ffffffffffffffs

Well the trip was more than worth it with a 2-1 win at Holker Street :D

Lancaster should be a decent trip for you, ridiculously easy to get to on the train, crackin' social club at the ground, decent sized terrace behind one goal and some thoroughly decent grub on sale as well!

The Ravens are winless after two matches having conceded an injury time equaliser against Bath City on Saturday and losing 2-1 at Braintree last night.

A win at Sutton who haven't hit the back of the net yet this year on Saturday would set the ball rolling nicely

The Linnets are also winless after a 4-2 home defeat to Newcastle Town last night. Runcorn totally dominated the second half in what can only be described as a monsoon! They had about 6 shots at goal in the whole game and scored 4. We had an endless number and only managed 2. Nothing wrong with our attacking play, they were just excellent in defence (unlike us.....)
Here's hoping for our 1st win on Sat at home against Colne.

p.s. I agree with what you say about Lancaster's ground, the Giant Axe used to be one of my favourite away grounds. It looks like a palace compared to some of the places we've visited over the last year or so!!
