The point the Brother is trying to make I think is that we currently dont have enough people running our club that are passionate about HULL FC.

Of course they have to have business sense to go with the passion (although even in that area our guys seem to be lacking!), but with a real love for our great club aswell.

Without doubt half of the rumours that have been flying about lately could easily be put to bed if the club had communicated with us, but to be fair to Mr Rule he has finally got the message and has begun doing this through the club site.

I dont doubt that we are all passionate fans but that is not what a club needs in directors. All this talk of businessmen putting money in has been going on for years, where are they. The fact is Plummer mentioned years ago that the club was available.Either there is no one out there or anyone wanting to purchase is hoping to do it at bargain prices.
To just expect someone will come in and act as a saviour is living in cloud cuckoo land. There is a lot of negativity around at the minute but much of it is being caused by problems outside of the club.
Whether you admire the board or not you should remember they were the ones that saved the club. Our club is one of only a few that are run at some kind of a profit and is therefore in a stronger position than most of our rivals to continue. If the present board walk away there is a very strong probability the club would fold and even if it didnt there is no guarantee any new administration would be as good never mind better.

good comment, they may have come like knights in shining armour over the hill but they were in just as much crap as we were. the difference being they were 750k in debt, us as fans had no financial commitment, just passion and love for our club and it was the directors of the hull club that were responsible for any debt at that time. if the hardcore fans hadnt got behind the club at that time then richo could possibly still be here now trying to regain his investment, who knows? luckily weve had a good couple of years of success. the obvious argument for the current board is that they will say they were bailed out by receiving 2 sums of sky monies at the time of the merger and that they were merely looking for another club to take on the players contracts. at the end of the day no one can argue that the merger saved our club, is was the best offer at the time. no local business men came forward to take the club off the late roy and the rest of the directors. the disheartenin thing is the way they have cut the fans off from the club and everything at the moment seems to be negative coming from the club. it really does beg the question, do they really have hull fc at heart? :?

The Brother wrote:A few years ago before the merger with gateshead we was a shareholders club and shane richardson said he wanted to have a share issue again so us the fans have the chance to purchase shares. However this has not being forthcoming under the present regime this is the reason we never really find out what our present fianical situation is.

In the past there was an AGM every year and everyone who had shares was invited to this meeting where the accounts were produdced for every one to see not like now were the only people that seem to know is kath and the croonies.

On the back of a challenge cup win a grand final apperance increased attendances, merchandise and coparate on the increase year after year why do they find it in them to continue to fleece us the fans because all that seems to happen is they put season passes and merchandise up to get even more money off us despite them raking it in.

If were not making money theres something wrong which just goes to prove we are run by a set of idiots who are just intrested in making money for themselves and fleecing us and proves what a bad management team we have at the helm i wish we could fing a big investor who could buy the club back for us the fans so we could invest again with a share issue.

We need somebody on the board who knows a bit about rugby league who is well respected in the game a CEO who deals with rugby issues not buissness leave that to the marketing or whoever deals with that sort of field or appoint someone to solely deal with that

Thought you never merged !!!!!!
