Castleford & Featherstone ARL David Poulter Open Cup Final
Townville v Brotherton
at Castleford Lock Lane, 7pm.
This one finished Brotherton 31 Townville 6.
Back to the NCL and Lock Lane were convincingly beaten at Rochdale Mayfield on Saturday 46-24, despite competing early in the game and being only 26-20 down at the interval.
The result pushed Lock Lane to the bottom of Division 1 and their fate may now be out of their hands. They are a point behind East Leeds, Milford Marlins and Eccles & Salford Juniors. Having completed their fixtures, the Marlins are already relegated however East Leeds face Ovenden on Wednesday night and Lock Lane's final game sees them face Eccles & Salford Juniors on Saturday. If East Leeds fail to win on Wednesday, Saturday's game looks set to decide who will be the third and final team relegated to NCL 2 for next season.
