Only a couple of reports of late.

Went to Omars last week. Can't remember the name of what I had but it seemed to be an addition to the menu. Very much like a pathia but with the strange addition of pineapple - pretty hot by Omars standards. Nice but there are dishes I prefer.

Had a take away from Shimla Spice in Keighley last night. It was ok. We had a chicken and keema curry (not on the menu) which I asked to be medium/hot, a mushroom side dish and a cauliflower and potato side dish with tandoori rotis. They were all pleasant enough but fairly bland - no heat whatsoever. The rotis turned out to be chapatis.

I suspect a trip to Karachi or the Punjab sweet centre will be on the cards one dinner this week.

I havnt been much either...im back at work now, but did manage to get one on new years day at the sweet centre on Lumb lane....
I got chicken tikka breast, I always ask for on the bone, it was HUGE !! almost a full 1/2 of chicken..and a lamb madras which was superb, and real rotis..thats what i like about the sweet centre on lumb lane...no frills.
The guy brings you a jug of water and poppadoms and salad...when you sit down, and you know the food is gonna be just what you want, and rarely dissapoints...10/10.

I'd highly recommend the old lass over t'road from me, who makes possibly the best home made curry I've ever had. Dropped one round for us last night and it was cracking.

Not that it's much help, but hey, it was a damn fine effort. Tasted kinda like a massala, but I think it was just her own concoction.

I wonder how onion bhaji would taste with a bit of chop sauce, might even be worth trying it out with a seekh kebab or something.
