Cheshire Cats RLFC played their first game at a wet and windy Lymm RFC on Sunday. A professional, mature performance saw them win 26-4.

Tries from Bridle, Reardon, Butler (2) and a classic 40m dazzling run from Kane Sullivan, who’s Father Anthony would have been proud of scoring. Goals were from Sullivan & Reardon.

A heavy rain storm part way through the game made the already difficult conditions worse, however the efforts on show delighted Head of Coaching Ben Povey who commented “we are all proud of the boys’ performance, the conditions were very hard to play in and we stuck to the game plan and executed with very little in way of errors. It was our first game as a team and we looked good on the ball and defended strongly.”

The Cats next game is Telford at Lymm on 31st May. More information will be on www.cheshirecatsrl.co.uk.

Nb - Thanks goes to Mr McCabe for Officiating the game and Milly for taking the pictures
