Post subject:  Rugby League novels

As a fan of the game since I first entered the boys' pen at Knowsley Road in 1947, I think it's great to see Rugby League growing all over the North East, some people playing it, some reffing it, some watching it both live and on TV and no doubt many talking about it during the course of the week, every week.
Purpose of this message is to highlight the fact that there is also so much written about the game. This includes player biographies, club histories, fans tales and with me the author of six novels all with a strong rugby league background.
My latest novel is called "Three Good Years". It is set in the fictional town of Ashurst which is located 'near' to St Helens, Warrington and Wigan with one of the main characters being a female electrical engineer who comes from Sunderland!
More details can be found on the web site of the publisher London League Publications at http://www.llpshop.co.uk..
Click on books and then fiction
