Founded in 1973 as New Hunslet, a replacement for the original Hunslet F.C., they became Hunslet in 1979 before adopting their current name in 1995, Hunslet Hawks. 2, Hunslet Hawks, have played at 4 ground from 1973 1973-1980: Leeds Greyhound Stadium 1980-1982: Mount Pleasant 1983-1995: Elland Road 1995-present: South Leeds Stadium. 3, Ex-ORL players Danny Thomas and Jamie Milburn are playing for Hunslet Hawks this season. 4, Hunslet have played in four Challenge Cup Fianl, Winners 2, 1907-08, 1933-34 and Runners-Up: 1898-99, 1964-65. 5, Biggest Home Win: As original Hunslet FC, 75-5 vs Broughton Recs, 1896-87 As Hunslet Hawks 86-16 v Gateshead Thunder, 2010. 6, Albert Goldthorpe one of the great rugby league player ever, led the team to unprecedented success in Hunslet’s greatest ever season, 1907-08, when they won all four trophies. 7, Hunslet's most capped player: Geoff Gunney, 11 Capps (Great Britain) 1954-65. 8, Hunslet, South Leeds Stadium was built in 1995. The stadium is used too host athletics and also has a swimming pool and other facilities the club can use. The stadium has one main stand that accommodates the grounds 5,000 capacity. 9, Hunslet is an inner-city area in south Leeds. 10, From 1973 to Hunslet played away from south Leeds, but on 19th November 1995 Hunslet finally went home, playing their first game back in South Leeds for 22 years when Leigh Centurions were the visitors.
