On Saturday morning (August 3rd) between 11 and 1, the Bramley Buffaloes have organised a Rugby League event, one half for children and one half for adults. It is part of the Try Reading project which aims to link support for major sporting events (like the Rugby League World Cup) with encouraging people to take up writing, reading, drama or just using their local library a bit more. To the adults I'll be talking about how I managed to write five novels all with a strong Rugby League background, encouraging others to consider doing something similar and reading extracts from One Winter, One Spring, One Summer, One Autumn and Two Seasons. Admission is free and everybody is welcome, with or without their library card!
Visit //www.geofflee.net for details of my novels 'One Winter', 'One Spring', 'One Summer' 'One Autumn' 'Two Seasons'. and "Three Good Years" All six feature Rugby League against a humourous Lancashire/Yorkshire background and are inspired by the old saying about work: "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller."
