Post subject:  Halifax V Hunslet

I am a season ticket holder so I am allowed an opinion and here it is.

Thank God we have the dual reg players from Leeds this season. Last season was a nightmare but this year we have a glimmer of hope. There needs to be some radical changes in this team, I know money is an issue but there is allot of dead wood and certainly people who should not be playing if we are to stand a chance of any sort.

6 & 7 are average; Grimshaw, Helliwell. I thought they were OK at first but when you see the work Featherstone, Halifax's 6 & 7 get through ours are not that good at all. Helliwell needs to learn how to play the set pieces - as an example: During warm up when Hunslet are going through the set pieces they throw the ball wide and use the Full Back (Watson) as an extra attacker. In reality in the game when it gets to Watson, Helliwell throws it flat to the prop instead. Why practise something then not put it into motion. How many times have I seen this in the last few weeks - get a grip; so many missed chances and forward passes this way.

Also Watson does so many run throughs when the forwards are tackled looking for the loose ball. There are never any handoffs from the forwards. Your missing out on Watsons best part of his game.

March who everyone loves - get shut. He is too old and unfit. I have seen him many a time given up on any sort of chase once somebody beats him.
We need some big forwards too, they were just not good enough on Sunday. There are too many all at the same poor standard.
Bush - is a bit up and down at the moment - got ripped apart at Halifax and they targeted him all game. I am sure he is better than this but if not put Chisolm there.

Brickwood is the surprise package for me outside the dual reg players. Very solid on the wing.
On a positive I think all the Rhinos are playing well. Watson, should have had 3 or 4 MOTM by now but hasnt. Singleton solid and strong; Hood always dangerous; Keinhorst is a bit up and down at the moment; yet to see anything of Chisolm but he isnt getting the ball out wide, hence what I said above.

Finally why does Barry Eaton never give any dual reg players the MOTM award!!!
