Leeds Akkies held its first junior section committee meeting on Wednesday night in preparation for the launch later this summer.

The Akkies will be launching a junior team in the West Riding Junior League in 2011 and is currently assembling a management team to run the junior section.

So far Graham Littler has been confirmed as junior secretary and will be joined by level two coaches Mike Wells and Keith Sandhu, along with Leeds Trinity University student and Akkies first grade fullback Joe Purnell.
However, the club is still looking for more volunteers/supporters to help drive forward the development of junior rugby league in north-west Leeds.
