Ex-Eagles hooker Liam Brentley has sadly been shot whilst serving in Afghanistan. He's still alive but not sure on his condition. There's a bit about a fundraiser on the link below

Bloody hell,We sponsored him,He was a nice lad,Think he won a few player of the year awards when we sponsored him,We signed Scott Collins and he fell off a bit.Hope he recovers.

On the 22nd August the Eagles are at home to Leigh Centurions.

To raise money to aid Liam's recovery the Eagles are looking to work with the services and local clubs as well as fans to raise as much money as possible.

On the day there will be bucket collections so make sure you bring plenty on change so we can pull together in Liams time of need.
