So next weekend sees two of the biggest matches for some time in our great city, the first Challenge Cup meeting between Sheffield and Wigan since THAT day in London when Sheffield overcame the odds and beat Wigan 17-8 in arguably the most famous Challenge Cup Final in history, and probably the most important Steel City Derby since 1993 for us Wednesdayites, when goals from Chris Waddle and Mark Bright secured a 2-1 victory over our younger, smaller neighbours in the FA Cup Semi Final at Wembley.

I predict that next weekend is going to be wholly atrocious for me personally.

Sheffield 2-102 Wigan, we take a 2-0 lead in the first minute.

Wednesday 0-3 United, all but sealing our fate to loud chants of "you're not fit to wear the shirt".

I am also dreading next weekend. I'm not going to Hillsborough, I just can't face it. If United score then they've won, as Wednesday have no idea how to score a goal.

As for the Wigan game there's a few of my mates who simply aren't bothering as they're convinced we're going to get absolutely spanked...and it's hard to disagree with them. I guess it depends what sort of side Wigan play and how hard they push themselves, but if it's a full side and they play for 80 minutes then it's very hard to predict anything other than a very big win for Wigan.

Im going to both.

I never predict scores but the outlook is not promising. I fully hope and expect and improved eagles perfomace in the face of adversity.

I think that your win over Wigan at Wembley all those years ago, will spur them on to give you a pasting. The new Wigan coach might not be too bothered, but I think the Wigan fans will demand a hammering for that insult to them.

The DVD of the Eagles win over Wigan in 98 is going to be played to the players and it will show the underdog triumph in the biggest shock of all-time,It will inspire the Eagles in a game against a inexperienced wigan side, Eagles 26 Wigan 22

As for the derby match i think Wednesday will probably win 3 or 4 nil to the Wednesday.
