Hi there.

The lads were challenging in the first half and up for the game. I think that they have suffered from not much of a pre season, with not being involved in their Cup competition, the National Rail Cup over here and friendly games called off over there due to weather conditions and other factors. In fact, the only game they did have was against a Tarn select 13, which involved players from 3 teams in the second divison of the French Comp. Won 86-4, more of a training hit out than a game. Think time will tell.

The best Toulouse can hope for this season is to scrape a couple of wins at home against teams at the bottom of NL1.

Constant Villegas did a good job filling in at full back. Rory Bromley is out with an ankle problem at the moment. Look forward to seeing Eagles down at Stade Arnaune in Toulouse in 2 weeks, and see if they carry on the momentum.

Looked like they were lacking fitness to me, they seemed to tire a lot towards the end. Gave away a lot of silly penalties too

Spot on. No matter how much you train, you can't get a good pre season unless you have some good hit outs against opposition. The Aussies won't call them friendlies. They say that once over the whitewash there aren't any friends.

One.
They were supposed to play The Dragons in a friendly, but it was called off due to terrible weather, high winds. Went down to watch the game, and nearly got my hire car crushed when a tree came down and missed it by about 3 feet. Then they couldn't arrange any other games apart from the one mentioned earlier against the Tarn select 13. Been a bit of a bummer of a pre season for them. Will be at the Halton Stadium to watch them, but with new coach Paul Cullen in charge of his first game don't think we will get much out of that one.

 Most of their players haven't played for nearly 11 months and the Pre-Season was badly disrupted by the bad weather in France with their main friendly against Le Cats being cancelled. None of the Elite teams would play them either. Might take a while for them to catch up and learn to live with the intensity of Championship RL.
