Every club has been given 150 tickets to sell for the Northern Rail 9s competition and the clubs get to keep all the money from ticket sales so this is a great opportunity to enjoy an entertaining weekend of rugby and raise money for the club at the same time. The new Northern Rail 9s competition will give supporters a unique opportunity to catch top quality Rugby League 9s action in what will be an action packed celebration weekend on Saturday 11 July and Sunday 12 July. Bringing together every English based Co-operative Championship and Championship 1 club, the weekend long event will see all sides not involved in the Northern Rail Cup Final enter full strength sides into a tournament that will be staged at Fylde RUFC, the home of Blackpool Panthers. The first day of the competition will see all 18 clubs playing in group stages, with the top eight sides going forward to a straight knockout competition on the Sunday for the Northern Rail 9's trophy. Meanwhile the 10 remaining sides will also compete on the Sunday in a competition to win the Northern Rail 9's plate. The finals of both the 9's trophy and plate competitions will be played as curtain raisers to the 13-a-side Northern Rail Cup Final at Blackpool's Bloomfield Road. Tickets, price at £9 Adults £5 Concessions, are available now from reception and the club shop at the Tetley's Stadium and will remain on sale until Friday 26th June. Tickets can also be purchased over the phone by calling us on 01924 465489. We only have 150 tickets available and they will be sold on a 1st come 1st served basis. |
